Established in 1958, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TUTCM) is one of the earliest universities of TCM in China. The University has a distinguished teaching faculty and staff of more than 3,600. There are 16 colleges and institutions, including College of TCM, College of Chinese Materia Medica, College of Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Tuina, College of Nursing, College of TCM Engineering, International Education College, TCM Institute and etc., covering from undergraduates, masters, doctoral programs and post-doctoral fellowships. At present time, there are over 14,000 students enrolled in various programs in the University.
TUTCM is the Educational Aid Center for Africa and Asia authorized by Ministry of Education (MOE), TCM International Cooperation Center by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) and National Center for International Research authorized by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). International students from all over the world are enrolled to work on their bachelor, master, doctoral degrees, short-term study or Chinese language. Each year there are over 2,000 students from 60 countries/areas studying in the university. It has established cooperation with universities, research and medical institutions from more than 50 countries and enjoys a high reputation.
Center for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (CTCFL) of TUTCM was established in April 2003 and it has accepted international students from more than 30 countries at different levels. The targeting students are Doctoral, Master or Bachelor’s degree students major in TCM, long-term or short-term study students, and national government scholarship students, etc. With a distinguished faculty, the teaching types include preparatory, undergraduate, long-term, short-term education and tutorship, etc. Meanwhile, a multiple leveled and comprehensive education system on Chinese language teaching for foreign students has been formed. Furthermore, a Confucius Classroom for TCM was established in Kobe Japan, which offers different courses and lectures on Chinese language or TCM culture.
International Education Center is of comprehensive function such as teaching, accommodation, recreation, and catering. The living accommodations are superior and offer a choice of single or double room or private suites. International Education Center is well equipped with teaching facilities with elegant environment. It has computer room and periodical reading room built specifically for overseas students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

V. Scholarship Coverage and Criteria
Scholarship winners are exempt from registration fees, tuition, fees for basic learning materials, accommodation fees on campus, and are provided with a one-off resettlement subsidy, monthly allowance and comprehensive insurance for foreign students studying in China. Monthly allowances are at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month): CNY 1,400 for One-Academic-Year Students and One-Semester Students. The one-off resettlement subsidy is CNY 1,500 for students who will study in China for one academic year; CNY 1,000 will be provided to all students who studies in China for one semester.
VI. Application
The Applicants should log on to the Confucius website athttp://cis.chinese.cn, set up an individual account, read information and introduction of TUTCM and our majors, complete and submit the Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Form online, and attach the electronic files of the following materials:
1. Copy of passport photo page
2. Copy of HSK, HSKK Report
3. Notarized/Certified Copies of Highest Diploma or proof of study Notarized highest education diploma attained（scheduled graduation proof or official proof of student status）
4. Reference Letter and Letter of Commitment. Students attending Chinese language programs of universities in countries with no Confucius Institutes established shall attach a reference letter signed and issued by the university President.
5. Application under the age of 18 shall submit relevant legal documents of entrusted legal guardians in China.
6. Winners of the finals of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students in China shall submit the scholarship certificate. Winners of preliminary rounds of the “Chinese Bridge” Proficiency Competitions in their countries shall provide award proof and reference letter provided by the organizers.
7. Chinese language teachers shall submit certificate of employment and recommendation letters provided by institutes they work for.

天津中医药大学始建于1958年，是我国最早建立的中医药高等院校之一。学校现有教职工3600多人，设有中医学院、中药学院、针灸学院、护理学院、中医药工程学院、国际教育学院、中医药研究院等16个院所，以本科教育为主体、涵盖硕士、博士教育、博士后流动站等多层次教育。学校现有各类在校学生14000余人。

五、奖学金资助内容及标准
孔子学院奖学金资助内容包括：注册费、学费、基本教材费、一次性安置费、生活费，提供校内住宿和留学生综合医疗保险。其中，生活费标准为：一学期和一学年研修生人民币1400元/月。一次性安置费标准是：发给在华学习一学年者人民币1500元/人；发给在华学习一学期者人民币1000元/人。

申请者需登陆孔子学院奖学金网站（http://cis.chinese.cn）注册个人账号，查询我校专业信息，在线填写、提交《孔子学院奖学金申请表》，并附上以下证明材料的电子文档：
1. 护照照片页。
2. HSK、HSKK成绩报告。
3. 经过公证的最高学历（毕业预定证明或在校学习证明）。
4. 推荐信及承诺书。未建孔子学院国家的有关高校中文专业学生，须另附校长签发的推荐信。
5. 未满18周岁的申请者，须提交委托在华法定监护人的相关法律文件。
6. “汉语桥”世界大、中学生中文比赛来华复赛获奖者须提供奖学金证书。各国分赛区优胜者须提供获奖证明和赛区主办单位出具的推荐函。
7. 在职汉语教师须提交就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。
