Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TUTCM) has achieved significantly in teaching, research and medical fields over more than 50 years of history since its establishment. At present, it has established partnership with over 80 universities, hospitals and research institutes among 50 countries and regions worldwide and enjoys high international reputation and influence.

Up to now, TUTCM has successfully held 7 international TCM conferences and 11 global acupuncture conventions since the first world TCM congress with over 100 foreign participants from 30 countries and regions attending and 200 articles exchanging which includes 30 papers from abroad and Chinese and English collection of papers was published each meeting. The accomplishment of the conferences has improved the TCM development in Tianjin and enhanced its international exchanges. It has also laid foundation for its universal academic prestige for the university. The TCM international convention has become a grand gathering for TCM experts at home and abroad.
